The quick answer really is no. If it's looking for a specific server name, it will only look for that one (or one it is clustered with) and no other server could answer the request.
Learn the lesson now that hard coding is a bad idea and spend the time re-coding the databases to use replica ID's etc. It's the best option in the long-term. Don't workaround it.
